Some of the organisations I've worked with

I've worked with a range of clients over the years, from membership organisations to specialist retailers, each with their own site and their own way of working. A few examples are below, along with the kind of work involved.

Some of my clients, particularly the military charities I build for, can't be named publicly, or their sites are for members only. I've kept those general here, but I'm happy to talk through the details privately if it's relevant to your own project.

Who I've Worked With

Every project below started with a different problem, and each one needed its own approach rather than a template solution. Here’s what the work involved.

The Gin Guild – I designed and built the website for The Gin Guild on a custom WordPress theme, and I’ve maintained it ever since. That’s included building bespoke plugins for the site’s specific needs, alongside the regular updates, security checks, and small changes that keep a site running properly year after year.

iMist.com – iMist.com needed a full rebuild rather than a repair, so I started again with a custom theme and a set of plugins built specifically for the site rather than adapted from something off the shelf. The result is a site that’s faster, easier for the client to manage, and built around how the business actually works.

Military Charities – I also build and maintain websites for several military charities, including ones tied to specific regiments. A number of these are private, members-only sites, so I can’t share details publicly, but the work involves the same level of care around security and reliability as any client site, arguably more, given who relies on them.

And Beyond – Over 30 years, I’ve worked with plenty of other organisations too, including a UK television channel and several UK tourism websites, alongside the smaller projects that don’t make it onto a page like this. Whatever the sector, the approach stays the same: understand what the site actually needs to do, then build it properly.

One Person, Direct Access

I’m not an agency and I don’t outsource the work. I’m a single, experienced developer, and when you get in touch, you’re talking to the person who’ll actually build and maintain your site.

That means no account managers, no markup for layers you never see, and no long contract locking you in. You own your own website, and if we ever part ways, you keep everything I’ve built for you.

If any of the work above is close to what you need, or you want to talk through something different, get in touch and I’ll tell you honestly whether I’m the right fit.
